Which hat would you wear to keep warm, which would you wear to a party? Each game board depicts six like items, such as hats but all with different functions. Players try to be the first to cover their game board with their matching items. In this lotto game, the children learn about items that belong to the same category, but differ in appearance, function and use. Each game board shows photos of different items with something in common: chairs, hats, bags and balls. The items belong to the same category, but differ in specific appearance, use and function. The photos of the children demonstrate the differences in how each item is used. For example: the pictures of children playing with a tennis ball and a soccer ball show the difference in the use of the two kinds of balls. Say the names of the pictures out loud, in order to enrich the players' vocabulary. You may use card titles in the list above.
